Projects

Lake Side Edunite2serve Farm

From June to August 2024, the Wayfinder’s Students Club from MAU—Lakeview College undertook a meaningful visit to the Machinga Project. This initiative was not just a simple visit; it represented a collaborative effort with their fellow community club to make a lasting impact. During their time there, the students provided various trainings, including essential life skills activities that aimed to empower participants and enhance their daily lives.

In addition to the training sessions, the students also engaged in evangelism efforts, sharing their faith and values with the local community. This outreach proved to be incredibly fruitful, as it ultimately led to the establishment of a new Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Misolo, located on the Mangochi side. The combination of training and spiritual engagement not only strengthened community ties but also provided a foundation for ongoing growth and support.

This experience was not just an opportunity for the students to give back; it also enriched their own understanding of community service and strengthened their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. The collaboration between the Wayfinder’s Students Club and the local community exemplifies the power of unity and purpose in fostering meaningful change.

New Converts Baptism

we celebrated a significant milestone as over 40 new converts were baptized. This joyous event marked a profound moment in their spiritual journeys, symbolizing their commitment to their faith and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. The baptism ceremony was filled with heartfelt testimonies, uplifting prayers, and the warm support of the church community. Each new member brought their own unique story of faith and transformation, and their willingness to embrace this step is a testament to the power of belief and the impact of our collective outreach efforts. This occasion not only strengthened the bonds within our congregation but also served as a reminder of the importance of nurturing and supporting one another in our spiritual growth. We rejoice in welcoming these new members into our faith community, excited to witness their continued growth and contributions in the future.

Effort Evangelism During Baptisim

During our evangelism efforts, we experienced a remarkable turnout that surpassed our expectations. The community responded with enthusiasm and eagerness to engage in the activities we organized. Many individuals attended our events, participating in discussions, workshops, and worship sessions. This high level of participation not only demonstrated the community’s interest in spiritual matters but also created an atmosphere of unity and shared purpose.

The diverse turnout allowed us to connect with people from various backgrounds, fostering meaningful conversations and relationships. We were encouraged by the openness of those who joined us, as many expressed a desire to learn more about our faith and the values we promote. This positive response is a testament to the effectiveness of our outreach efforts and the hard work put in by everyone involved. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to engage with the community in impactful ways.

Outstanding students at our school were recognized for their exceptional achievements and hard work with a variety of assorted gifts from Give HOPE Ministry. These gifts included school bags, books, and other educational materials, all aimed at encouraging continued academic excellence. The recognition not only celebrated their accomplishments but also served as an inspiration for other students to strive for their best. Kids attending first Aid training

Recently, children in Machinga participated in a first aid training program organized by Wayfinder’s Student Club. This initiative aimed to equip young participants with essential life-saving skills and knowledge that can make a significant difference in emergency situations.

The training covered various topics, including basic first aid techniques, how to respond to common injuries, and the importance of remaining calm in emergencies. Engaging hands-on activities allowed the children to practice what they learned, enhancing their confidence and preparedness.

By empowering these young individuals with first aid skills, Wayfinder’s not only contributed to their personal development but also fostered a sense of responsibility within the community. This initiative underscores the club’s commitment to equipping youth with practical skills that promote safety and well-being, ensuring they are better prepared to help themselves and others in times of need.
