Our Story of HOPE

From the time she was a child, Eve Harper Gilkeson wanted to travel to countries all over the world to help people. Every day she would pray, “Lord, help me find someone to help.” As an ESL/Spanish teacher she had the opportunity to travel the world to countries on every contintent. In 2019, Eve and Jerrell, her husband, had an opportunity to visit Malawi in East Africa.

HOPE in Pain

In 2021, the Covid pandemic hit. During this time Eve was giving help to her parents.One night she had severe stomach pain. When going to the hospital it was learned that she had a heart attack! While preparing for surgery, she fainted in the toilet and had a bad concussion, a chipped vertebra and a broken kneecap.Waking up the she prayed, “Lord help me help someone today.” And then she laughed!

Hope for ALL

She couldn’t walk. She couldn’t even go to the toilet!  Then God impressed her mind, “You can give HOPE to someone today.” For days she gave HOPE to each caregiver that walked in the door. From that event she was able to learn how to give HOPE and get HOPE. It is possible to give HOPE when you have nothing. Since then Eve, her friends, and church, have given 4 containers ond a bus to help children

Our Mission

To empower individuals and communities through education, spiritual guidance, and compassionate service, reflecting Christ’s love by sharing hope through prayers and sharing the scriptures and creating opportunities for growth and a future. Currently, there are 15 projects in Malawi east Africa. In partnership with Edunite@2serve, our lives are being changed as we give to others.
