Wayfinder's Student Club
From June to August 2024, the Wayfinder’s Students Club from MAU—Lakeview College undertook a meaningful visit to the Machinga Project. This initiative was not just a simple visit; it represented a collaborative effort with their fellow community club to make a lasting impact. During their time there, the students provided various trainings, including essential life skills activities that aimed to empower participants and enhance their daily lives.
In addition to the training sessions, the students also engaged in evangelism efforts, sharing their faith and values with the local community. This outreach proved to be incredibly fruitful, as it ultimately led to the establishment of a new Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Misolo, located on the Mangochi side. The combination of training and spiritual engagement not only strengthened community ties but also provided a foundation for ongoing growth and support.
This experience was not just an opportunity for the students to give back; it also enriched their own understanding of community service and strengthened their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. The collaboration between the Wayfinder’s Students Club and the local community exemplifies the power of unity and purpose in fostering meaningful change.
